On Friday June 11th at 7pm, Katherine Howe will read from and speak about her novel, “The Physick Book of  Deliverance Dane” at The Jabberwocky Bookshop, at the Tannery, 50 Water St, Newburyport.

Set primarily on the Northshore, in Marblehead and Salem, and in Harvard’s

a contemporary romance with fast-paced action and local history.

The USA Today raves, “A terrific debut novel...a beautifully written,
historically captivating thriller of the hidden powers of women
throughout the centuries.  And The Boston Globe calls it “a devilishly delightful read.”

Katherine Howe
traces her ancestry back to the 1630’s in New England, and includes 2
of the witches accused in old Salem. She is completing her PhD in
American and New England studies at Boston University, and lives in
Marblehead.
